How we deliver
We deliver using our own truck fleet from our yard at 12 Chester Road, Altona VIC 3018. We do not use third-party couriers, and we do not ship interstate or overseas. Every delivery is made by us.
Most materials are delivered in bulk by tipper truck and unloaded on site. Bagged and packaged goods are delivered in the usual way.
Where we deliver
We deliver across metropolitan Melbourne and surrounding suburbs, within Victoria only. If your address falls outside our delivery area, you will not be able to complete checkout. If you are unsure whether we reach you, please use the postcode checker in your cart or contact us before ordering.
Delivery charges
Delivery is charged by zone, based on your delivery postcode, and by the number of truck loads your order requires. Bulk materials are never mixed on a truck, so an order containing more than one material will always require more than one load.
The exact charge for your address and order is calculated and displayed at checkout before you pay. Current zones and the suburbs they cover are listed on our Delivery page.
Delivery days and times
We deliver seven days a week. We do not deliver on Victorian public holidays.
You choose a preferred delivery date and time window in your cart, and we confirm it by email:
- Monday to Friday: Morning (7:00am – 1:00pm), Afternoon (1:00pm – 5:00pm), or Anytime (7:00am – 5:00pm)
- Saturday and Sunday: a single Anytime window (7:00am – 1:00pm)
There is no surcharge for weekend delivery — a Saturday or Sunday delivery costs the same as a weekday one.
Orders placed before 3:00pm can often be delivered the next available day, subject to availability in your zone. Orders placed after 3:00pm are scheduled from the following day onwards.
Estimated timeframes are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed. Delays caused by traffic, weather, supply availability, or site conditions are outside our control. If you are working to a firm deadline, please call us on 1300 21 21 11 before ordering.
Site access — please read before ordering
You are responsible for ensuring our vehicle has clear, safe access to the delivery point, and for disclosing any access restrictions before delivery. Our tipper trucks require:
- A minimum 3 metre clearance width for truck entry
- A firm, level surface at the tip point
- No overhead power lines, branches, or other obstructions
- Gates open and secured before we arrive
- A tip zone clear of vehicles, obstacles, and people
If your property has a narrow driveway, a steep grade, or a tight turning circle, please contact us before ordering so we can confirm the right truck for your site.
Where access is unsafe or not as described, we may decline to attempt the delivery, or tip at the nearest safe point such as the kerb or driveway entrance. If we arrive and cannot deliver safely, a further delivery charge applies to re-attempt.
You do not need to be home
As long as there is safe access and you have nominated a drop zone, our driver can tip and go. Please add any access notes to your order at checkout — for example, "gate is on the side of the house" or "tip into driveway".
If nobody is available at the agreed time and the delivery cannot proceed safely, we will wait up to 20 minutes before treating the delivery as attempted. A return-to-yard or re-delivery fee may then apply.
Risk and property damage
Delivering bulk materials carries inherent risk given the size and weight of the vehicles involved, including possible damage to driveways, lawns, garden beds, paving, fences, retaining walls, or underground services. Except where caused by our negligence, we are not liable for incidental property damage during a delivery you have directed us to make.
Once material is tipped at the location you specified, responsibility for it passes to you. If a vehicle becomes bogged or stuck as a result of your directions or undisclosed site conditions, you are responsible for the recovery and towing costs. Our drivers retain discretion to decline any direction they consider unsafe.
This section does not limit our liability for loss or damage actually caused by our negligence or that of our drivers, and does not exclude any guarantee, right, or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Incorrect addresses
It is your responsibility to enter the correct delivery address at the time of ordering. If an incorrect address is supplied, we are not obliged to redeliver at our own expense and an additional delivery fee may apply.
