Bulk materials delivered across Frankston

Frankston is where the sand belt runs out at the top of the Peninsula, and almost every garden problem here comes back to that. Water disappears through the profile, fertiliser goes with it, and a bed that was watered on Sunday is dry by Wednesday. The other half of the suburb's character is the fall — the ground climbs away from the foreshore, so slopes and retaining come up constantly.

Frankston is the southern edge of Zone 1, on the same run as Carrum Downs and Seaford. We deliver seven days a week and an order placed before 3pm is usually delivered the next day.

Soil & site conditions

The Frankston sands are pale, deep and almost structureless — they drain within minutes and hold very little nutrient. Inland toward Karingal the profile picks up some clay and slows down, and in the gullies running to the bay there is enough fall for a bare bed to wash downhill in one storm. The fix is the same in all three cases and it is bulk rather than chemistry: a generous depth of garden mix worked through the bed, mulch over it, and pebble or toppings on paths where sand will simply migrate.

Truck access in Frankston

Most of Frankston is straightforward — wide streets, ordinary driveways, room to tip. Two things to watch. Near the foreshore and up around Oliver's Hill the streets get steep and narrow, and on a driveway that climbs or drops sharply we will tip at the top rather than commit a loaded truck to it. And the sand makes the ground deceptive: a verge that looks firm can give way after rain and the ruts are a real repair, so we will use the road or the driveway apron by preference.

Frankston delivery questions

What access does your truck need?
Our tip truck needs roughly 3.5 m of clear width, firm ground to reverse on and no low branches or wires over the drop point. If the street or driveway is tighter than that, tell us when you order and we will work out the closest safe spot — usually the nature strip or the top of the driveway.
How soon can you deliver?
Orders placed before 3pm are usually delivered the next day, seven days a week — including a Saturday order delivered Sunday. After 3pm, allow two days. Longer regional runs are booked with a confirmed window rather than a next-day promise.
How much fits in one delivery?
One truck load carries up to 8 cubic metres of a single material. Two different materials always travel as two loads, because they cannot share a tray — so a cart with soil and mulch in it is priced as two deliveries.
