Bulk materials delivered across Berwick

Berwick has two distinct halves and they order differently. The old village and the streets north of it sit on rising ground with large established gardens and mature trees; the estates south and east of the freeway are flatter, newer and still filling in. A mulch order from the north end is a top-up under existing trees; from the south it is usually the first thing that has ever gone on the block.

Berwick sits in Zone 2. We deliver seven days a week and an order placed before 3pm is usually on the ground the next day.

Soil & site conditions

The suburb straddles a change in country. South of the highway the ground is flat and sandy-loamy, part of the Casey plain, free-draining and short on organic matter. North toward Harkaway it climbs into foothill clay loam over heavy clay — better fertility, much slower drainage, and seepage that appears partway down a slope after a wet week. Match the order to the half you are in: organic matter and mulch on the sandy south, drainage aggregate and raised beds on the clay north. The older gardens around the village are the one place in Casey where the soil is genuinely good, and even there a century of tree roots means most beds are better topped up than dug over.

Truck access in Berwick

The streets around the old village are narrow, kerbed and often parked out, and some of the driveways off them are steep enough that we will tip at the top rather than take a loaded truck down. Mature street trees on the northern side can bring the canopy below the clearance we need over the tray. In the newer estates access is straightforward — wide roads, good driveways — with the usual caution about fresh crossovers and soft nature strips after rain.

Berwick delivery questions

What access does your truck need?
Our tip truck needs roughly 3.5 m of clear width, firm ground to reverse on and no low branches or wires over the drop point. If the street or driveway is tighter than that, tell us when you order and we will work out the closest safe spot — usually the nature strip or the top of the driveway.
How soon can you deliver?
Orders placed before 3pm are usually delivered the next day, seven days a week — including a Saturday order delivered Sunday. After 3pm, allow two days. Longer regional runs are booked with a confirmed window rather than a next-day promise.
How much fits in one delivery?
One truck load carries up to 8 cubic metres of a single material. Two different materials always travel as two loads, because they cannot share a tray — so a cart with soil and mulch in it is priced as two deliveries.
