Bulk materials delivered across Melbourne
Postcode 3000 is the one part of our run with almost no ground-level garden in it. Nearly everything we deliver into the city goes onto a structure: a podium courtyard over a carpark, a terrace on level four, a planter bed built against a converted warehouse wall. That changes what to order more than any soil map does.We deliver into the CBD seven days a week, with the drop made kerbside at a loading zone or into a laneway the truck can legally stand in. Orders placed before 3pm are usually on the ground the next day, and it is worth telling us the street and the time window you have when you order.
Soil & site conditions
There is no useful natural profile to work with here — the original Yarra flats sit under a century of fill, basements and slab. Every bed in the city is an imported one. On podiums and terraces the constraint is weight rather than fertility: an engineered slab has a load limit, and a saturated bed of heavy garden soil is far heavier than the same bed dry. Ask for a lighter organic blend for anything above ground level, keep depth to what the structure and the drainage layer were designed for, and use pebble rather than more soil where you only need cover.Truck access in Melbourne
The CBD is the hardest delivery in the network and the one that needs the most notice. A loaded tipper cannot enter a basement carpark — the clearance is typically well under what we need — so every drop is at street level. Clearway hours rule out kerbside standing on the main streets at peak, and many of the laneways are one-way, permit-parked or blocked by a bin run. Tell us the loading zone or the lane, whether a permit or a building dock booking is needed, and who will meet the truck. Material barrowed through a lobby or taken up in a service lift needs to be bagged or shovelled off the tray, so allow time and hands. What Melbourne gardens usually order

What access does your truck need?
Our tip truck needs roughly 3.5 m of clear width, firm ground to reverse on and no low branches or wires over the drop point. If the street or driveway is tighter than that, tell us when you order and we will work out the closest safe spot — usually the nature strip or the top of the driveway.
How soon can you deliver?
Orders placed before 3pm are usually delivered the next day, seven days a week — including a Saturday order delivered Sunday. After 3pm, allow two days. Longer regional runs are booked with a confirmed window rather than a next-day promise.
How much fits in one delivery?
One truck load carries up to 8 cubic metres of a single material. Two different materials always travel as two loads, because they cannot share a tray — so a cart with soil and mulch in it is priced as two deliveries.
