Bulk materials delivered across Ringwood

Ringwood is where the flat eastern suburbs give up and the Dandenong foothills start. The 3134 postcode runs from the apartment and townhouse building around Eastland out to the treed, sloping blocks of Ringwood North and Warrandyte South, and the two ends want completely different loads — compact courtyard quantities at one, full loads of mulch for a half-acre of garden at the other.

Ringwood sits in Zone 2, and the flat per-load rate is the same whether the drop is behind Eastland or halfway up a hill in Ringwood North. We deliver seven days a week, and an order placed before 3pm is usually on the ground the next day.

Soil & site conditions

The foothills here are weathered Silurian siltstone and shale — a thin brown clay loam over stiff clay, with rock fragments through it and, on the steeper blocks, not much depth before you hit something that stops a shovel. It sheds water down the slope rather than holding it, so beds on a fall dry from the top and stay wet at the bottom. Terracing and a generous depth of garden mix fixes more than watering does, and a free-draining aggregate behind any wall keeps the pressure off it.

Truck access in Ringwood

Around the centre of Ringwood the issue is space rather than gradient — construction traffic, narrow older streets and shared driveways behind townhouse developments. North of Maroondah Highway it flips: steep drives, tight bends and low branches on bush blocks. A loaded tipper needs about 3.5 m of clear width, firm level ground to tip on and clear height overhead, and on a steep drive we would rather tip at the top than attempt the descent. Tell us which end of the suburb you are in when you order and we will send the right truck.

Ringwood delivery questions

What access does your truck need?
Our tip truck needs roughly 3.5 m of clear width, firm ground to reverse on and no low branches or wires over the drop point. If the street or driveway is tighter than that, tell us when you order and we will work out the closest safe spot — usually the nature strip or the top of the driveway.
How soon can you deliver?
Orders placed before 3pm are usually delivered the next day, seven days a week — including a Saturday order delivered Sunday. After 3pm, allow two days. Longer regional runs are booked with a confirmed window rather than a next-day promise.
How much fits in one delivery?
One truck load carries up to 8 cubic metres of a single material. Two different materials always travel as two loads, because they cannot share a tray — so a cart with soil and mulch in it is priced as two deliveries.
