Bulk materials delivered across Epping

Epping is two suburbs sharing a postcode. On one side is the wholesale fruit and vegetable market and the freight that comes with it; on the other, estate housing that has been rolling north continuously since the 1990s. Almost all our work here is on the housing side, and much of it is a first garden on a block that was paddock a few years ago.

It is Zone 1 at the top of our northern run. We deliver seven days a week, and an order placed before 3pm is usually on the ground the next day — worth knowing when turf is booked for the weekend.

Soil & site conditions

This is flat basalt plain, and the clay is the same dense grey-brown material that runs from Craigieburn across to Mernda: it holds water in winter, sets hard in summer and gives very little back for the effort of digging into it. On the estate lots you rarely meet it in its natural state anyway — the surface is compacted cut-and-fill with rubble through it. The approach that works is consistent across the corridor: screened soil under new turf, garden mix at depth in the beds, crushed rock anywhere that has to stay firm, and beds built up rather than dug down.

Truck access in Epping

The estate streets are wide and the drops are simple, with the standard cautions about fresh kerbs, new crossovers and soft unmade ground after rain. The genuinely local complication is traffic: the market and the industrial estates put a lot of heavy vehicles through 3076 at particular hours, and the arterial roads back up badly around them. An early delivery slot is easier to keep than a mid-morning one, and if the drop is off one of the main roads rather than inside an estate, tell us so we can plan the approach.

Epping delivery questions

What access does your truck need?
Our tip truck needs roughly 3.5 m of clear width, firm ground to reverse on and no low branches or wires over the drop point. If the street or driveway is tighter than that, tell us when you order and we will work out the closest safe spot — usually the nature strip or the top of the driveway.
How soon can you deliver?
Orders placed before 3pm are usually delivered the next day, seven days a week — including a Saturday order delivered Sunday. After 3pm, allow two days. Longer regional runs are booked with a confirmed window rather than a next-day promise.
How much fits in one delivery?
One truck load carries up to 8 cubic metres of a single material. Two different materials always travel as two loads, because they cannot share a tray — so a cart with soil and mulch in it is priced as two deliveries.
