Bulk materials delivered across Greensborough
Greensborough is built along the Plenty River gorge, and the gradient decides most of what happens in a garden here. Blocks fall away from the street or climb up from it, back yards are terraced rather than flat, and a retaining wall of some description is part of almost every project we supply. It is the north-eastern edge of Zone 1, which surprises people who assume anything with this much bush in it must cost more. Deliveries run seven days a week; get the order in before 3pm and it will usually be sitting at the top of your drive the following day.
Soil & site conditions
The gorge country is weathered Silurian siltstone — a thin brown clay loam over stiff clay, with rock fragments through it and, on the steeper blocks, not much depth at all before a shovel stops. It sheds water sideways down the slope rather than soaking in, so the top of a sloping garden dries out while the bottom stays wet. Terracing solves more than irrigation does. Behind any wall use a free-draining aggregate rather than backfilling with the spoil you just dug, and allow extra volume for a sloping bed — it takes noticeably more than the same area laid flat.Truck access in Greensborough
Gradient is the constraint. A good number of driveways here drop or climb sharply enough that a loaded tipper will ground out or lose traction, and on those we tip at the top and the load gets barrowed — which is worth knowing before you order five cubic metres for a back yard three levels down. The streets follow the contours, so they curve and narrow, and mature eucalypts bring the canopy below the clearance we need over the tray in places. Tell us what the frontage looks like and we will tell you honestly what the truck can do.What Greensborough gardens usually order

What access does your truck need?
Our tip truck needs roughly 3.5 m of clear width, firm ground to reverse on and no low branches or wires over the drop point. If the street or driveway is tighter than that, tell us when you order and we will work out the closest safe spot — usually the nature strip or the top of the driveway.
How soon can you deliver?
Orders placed before 3pm are usually delivered the next day, seven days a week — including a Saturday order delivered Sunday. After 3pm, allow two days. Longer regional runs are booked with a confirmed window rather than a next-day promise.
How much fits in one delivery?
One truck load carries up to 8 cubic metres of a single material. Two different materials always travel as two loads, because they cannot share a tray — so a cart with soil and mulch in it is priced as two deliveries.
