Bulk materials delivered across Drysdale
Drysdale sits on the red volcanic soil that made the Bellarine an orchard and vineyard district long before it was a commuter one. That soil is the reason the wineries are here and the reason gardens in this part of the peninsula behave so differently from the sand a few kilometres away at Ocean Grove. The postcode runs down to Clifton Springs on the bay and out through Curlewis, where estate housing is filling in fast. It is Zone 3: seven days a week, with a confirmed delivery window rather than a next-morning promise.
Soil & site conditions
The red-brown volcanic loam here is genuinely good soil — well structured, reasonably deep on the higher ground, and far more forgiving than either the sand on the coast or the grey clay on the plain. It still dries hard in a Bellarine summer, which is the one thing that catches new arrivals out, so mulch matters more than amendment. On the newer estate lots at Curlewis the story reverts to the usual one: the good soil went with the grading and what is left is compacted fill that needs importing over. Work out which of the two situations you are on before calculating volumes, because the answers are quite different.Truck access in Drysdale
Around the township and the estates access is straightforward — sealed roads, ordinary driveways, room to tip. Two local things to note. On the Clifton Springs side the streets run down toward the bay and some driveways are steep enough that we will tip at the top rather than commit a loaded truck. And on the acreage and vineyard blocks the drives are long, often unsealed, and gated — tell us the gateway width, the surface and where there is room to turn, or we will tip inside the gate. What Drysdale gardens usually order

What access does your truck need?
Our tip truck needs roughly 3.5 m of clear width, firm ground to reverse on and no low branches or wires over the drop point. If the street or driveway is tighter than that, tell us when you order and we will work out the closest safe spot — usually the nature strip or the top of the driveway.
How soon can you deliver?
Orders placed before 3pm are usually delivered the next day, seven days a week — including a Saturday order delivered Sunday. After 3pm, allow two days. Longer regional runs are booked with a confirmed window rather than a next-day promise.
How much fits in one delivery?
One truck load carries up to 8 cubic metres of a single material. Two different materials always travel as two loads, because they cannot share a tray — so a cart with soil and mulch in it is priced as two deliveries.
